From now on, we can proudly say that there will be an established parking order in the parking lot in front of Erjavčeva koča, and violators will be appropriately fined.
From today onwards, after the agreement signed by the landowner and the owner of the building, the Mountaineering Association of Jesenice, we no longer have to worry about the boundary markers that divided the land on the terrace of Erjavčeva Koča.
This recommendation is not just a generic travel guide. It’s a heartfelt suggestion from us, the locals living on Vrišič, who have the privilege of experiencing the beauty of these mountains all year round.

In Slovenia, mountain rescuers increasingly assist poorly equipped, inadequately conditioned, uneducated, and irresponsible hikers. There’s a belief that this is only possible in Slovenia where rescue is free, unlike abroad where rescue is chargeable, leading to fewer such cases.
The Triglav National Park is definitely a place for mountain lovers; breathe the fresh air, hike through the great vastness of the valleys and peaks, admire the beautiful mountain flora, and observe the wildlife in their natural habitat.
Triglav mountain in Slovenia, Škrlatica is the second highest, and some others, such as Prisank, Mala and Velika Mojstrovka, and the most popular Slemenova Špica, all accessible from Erjavčeva mountain hut as starting point from Vršič pass.
This sign should provided real-time updates on the status of the mountain pass. But not really for us. We always strive to have some space available, especially for our guests staying and sleeping at the hut.
Positions are available starting this November or even sooner, so don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to live and work in one of Slovenia’s most stunning locations.
