Managed Parking at Vršič Pass

After two and a half years of hard work and perseverance, we’re proud to announce that we’ve succeeded. We’ve managed to implement the first managed and paid parking lot in front of Erjavčeva koča at Vršič, a solution that we believe will address the parking issues and improve safety in the area.

Due to constant parking violations, driving and even parking on the access road and everywhere despite clearly visible traffic signs, and setting up tents and motorhomes on the lawn in front of and below Erjavčeva koča, we were forced to take action. During the summer season, access to the hut was practically blocked every day, so in case of an emergency, neither rescuers nor firefighters had access. After two and a half years of fear and arrogance from both domestic and foreign visitors, we finally found a solution. We established the first managed and paid parking lot in front of Erjavčeva koča at Vršič.

, the Agrarian and Pasture Community, and last but not least, the
Triglav National Park
for understanding our concerns and responding to our requests. For similar areas, we managed to find a solution relatively quickly.

With pride, we announce the establishment of a new parking order in the parking lot in front of Erjavčeva koča. This order will ensure a more organized and efficient parking system. Those who violate the order will be appropriately fined. For our daily guests of Erjavčeva koča, we are happy to inform you that nothing will change. If you visit for lunch, we will reimburse your parking fee.*

Managed Parking at Vršič Pass

For all visitors parking in front of Erjavčeva koča and embarking on a trip, we have a fee of 1 € per hour or 10 € for a full day. This fee has been carefully considered to ensure a fair and reasonable cost for your convenience. The parking lot is under the watchful eye of video surveillance by the company Janez d.o.o., which will impose a fine of 36 € per day for any breach of set parking access rights.
