Boundary Marker of the Plot

Despite the rainy weather today, we woke up to a beautiful morning that promised an even better day. We had a special meeting planned. We were visited by a descendant of the family who, more than 100 years ago, donated the land where Erjavčeva Koča, the first hut on Vršič, now stands.

We are still gathering information about this fascinating family and the remarkable gentleman who began the history of Erjavčeva koča with the gesture of donating the plot. We publish these details on our website and at Erjavčeva koča. We realize that without him, history would be entirely different, as Erjavčeva koča likely would not exist. Once again, it has been shown, much to our fortune, that the descendants of this family maintain their unwavering goodwill and have not succumbed to turbo-capitalism. Even in 2024, they remain true to their name and tradition.

From today onwards, after the agreement signed by the landowner and the building owner, the Mountaineering Association of Jesenice, we no longer have to worry about the boundary markers that divided the land on the terrace of Erjavčeva koča.
