There is vast free parking just a spit away from the Erjavčeva mountain hut, Vršič pass, Kranjska Gora, and a bus station just around the corner, no more than 300m.

Bus to the Vršič pass is going only on season time. Please check the schedule. However, you can take a taxi from Bovec or Kranjska Gora. There is always an option for hitchhiking from the valley. Hitchhiking is quite common and safe in Slovenia.

We are a mountain hut 1525 meters above sea level. In winter, the road can be closed for a day or two (or longer if necessary) because of the danger of snow or avalanches. In that case, you must walk from the valley if the road is closed. Depending on the path or path condition, it is a pleasant walk through the Triglav National Park and Alpe Adria trail (in summer, 1,5h to 3,5h in winter).
