Why are there no trash bins?
Where to put garbage
The Slovenian Mountain Association prohibits leaving trash and other waste behind. Each visitor of the Triglav National Park, or rather, in this case, it is more about a mountaineer, must take all their trash back to the valley by themselves.
In the high summer season, the trash bins can be found in private rooms regarding to open and easily accessible road and “Instagram tourism”.
However, we still ask politely our guests to respect the local tradition and culture and take care of the garbage on their own.
Thank you for understanding.
