So that you know, we are a mountain hut 1525 meters above sea level. In winter, the road can be closed for a day or two (or longer if necessary) because of the danger of snow or avalanches. In that case, you must walk from the valley if the road is closed. Depending on the path or path condition, it is a pleasant walk through the Triglav National Park and Alpe Adria trail (1.5 h to 3,5 h in summer, 1,5h to 3,5h in winter).

We are the only mountain hut, a shelter open daily for the year at Vršič mountain pass.
