The lakes high in the mountains you come across on your hikes through Slovenia’s mountains are so beautiful and crystal clear that you could just run into them.

But don’t do that as bathing in high mountain lakes is forbidden. Respect the nature.

Instead, admire them from the shore and breathe in their freshness and beauty. Please find your refreshing aquatic moments in the valleys’ natural swimming pools and swimming areas.

The stream near Erjavčeva mountain hut provides water for four mountain huts on Vršič. That is the only water we get.
